DESCRIPTION:      This 40 hour course is designed for law enforcement SWAT Team Leaders. Instruction consists of classroom lecture, case studies of tactical incidents, student interaction, and interactive table top exercises. Emphasis is placed on skills specific to Law Enforcement Tactical Operations. Instruction includes lecture and practical training in the following topics:

Barricaded suspect(s)                       Tactical Team Deployment

Active Shooter incidents                   Emergency Deployments

Upon completion of this course, students will be required to demonstrate a working knowledge of the role and responsibilities of a SWAT Team Leader during table top exercises as well as pass a final written test.

 

PREREQUISITES:    Students must be an active duty member of a civilian or military

law enforcement special weapons team and have previously completed a basic SWAT Academy.
